Retrofit: the new trend for recycling energy and capital.

Snack food manufactures have recently placed new requirements on vending manufactures to correlate their energy savings and carbon footprint reduction platform. Environmental organizations are negotiating with some of the worlds largest soda companies to reduce their negative influence on the environment. These companies have been most cooperative and are looking to retrofit existing vending machines in the field thereby bringing in the energy saving without having to replace machines with new models.

Intrutec’s occupancy modules are a perfect addition to the vending machine product features. Manufactures love the modular design, because it eliminates the need to design its own sensors or customized Fresnel lens. The PIR module design easily integrates to existing control circuitry via 3 pins, power/ground and occupancy detection signal. Our customized sensor can provide occupancy detection for immediate presence or over a given time period e.g. 2 minutes, which makes it ideal for low interrupt intervals.
